The 'G' in ESG: Improving our governance

In Kangamiut Seafood and the Kangamiut Group, we are continuously working actively to improve our governance structures.

Most recently we have:

  • simplified our organizational structure with the merger of Dansea Nordic and Northcoast Seafoods with Kangamiut Seafood to facilitate streamlining of our processes and procedures;
  • elevated the Sustainability as well as Food Safety & Quality functions to be represented in the management team;
  • professionalized and diversified our board of directors to profit from external expertise and equal representation of women and men in the board

In the end, a strong governance structure gives us the freedom to focus on what we do best: developing and nurturing strong partnerships across the seafood value chain.

Food Safety & Quality

For us, delivering the highest quality seafood is of paramount importance. We are careful in our selection of suppliers to ensure that we can be confident in the quality of the products that we source.

Our food safety and quality management processes ensure that we can supply products that meet international food safety standards and that are authentic and high-quality. Our products come with full traceability and comply with current legislation to be fully aligned with our customers’ food safety and quality expectations.
