Logistics

Helena has been with Kangamiut Seafood since 2022. With a background in international transport and logistics, Helena was the perfect fit for our logistics team.

 

In addition to being a tireless transportation talent, Helena expressed an interest in coupling business with people relations and employee satisfaction; Helena therefore supplements her logistics assignments with supporting specific HR-related tasks.

 

The combination of professional development opportunities that are not necessarily linked to my original core tasks; everyday flexibility that allows me to be at my best both at work and at home; and then being surrounded by a team of fantastic colleagues is for me what makes

Anders, Sales, Whitefish Division

Anders joined Kangamiut Seafood in 2024 in parallel with finalizing his Master’s studies in Managerial Accounting & Control. Anders’ entry level program was designed around his spending the first 6 months working on his Master’s thesis which focused on opportunities for application of AI in optimization of Kangamiut’s logistics operations. Since then, Anders has gradually taken more responsibility in sales and seafood trading.

 

What I really like about working with Kangamiut Seafood is that it is an international company where I am in daily contact with so many different people and diverse cultures. I have the freedom to plan my own work; ideas very quickly become action; and I get to try new tasks whenever I feel ready – it is really a great place if you like to be challenged and learn. Finally, my brilliant colleagues make a great working environment where help is always there when I need it.

Meet our colleagues

Asger, Sales Director, Whitefish Division

Kangamiut Seafood has been Asger’s second home for more than 30 years as he was instantly hooked (pun intended) in our world of festive fish mongers when he joined the company in 1994.

 

Asger came with a shipping background and started out handling the discharging of vessels. He then moved on to quality inspections before landing in procurement and sales. For the last 15 years, Asger has headed the procurement and sales of North Atlantic cod and haddock and travelled every corner of the world.

 

What I really like about working in Kangamiut is how good ideas are promptly put into action and how we create room for the individual to thrive and develop. With all my fantastic colleagues and our very informal atmosphere it feels like we are just one big family.
